My name is Robert Gallacher, I am from Kilmarnock in Scotland and I am asking for your help running for Student president of GCU.

As a dedicated member of our university community, I believe in the power of education to transform lives; however, our current digital infrastructure does not meet the diverse needs of our student body. It's time for a change that ensures equal access and a better learning experience for all.

As the Chair of the Students Voice, and an active member for several years, I am deeply invested in championing the concerns and aspirations of our student body. I believe in harnessing our collective voice to push for a digital infrastructure that truly serves us all.

I am the current serving Chair of the Students Voice and have been the vice chair in the two years previous.

I have also been the care experienced officer for GCU and a part of the senate disciplinary committee and freshers committee.

I will also be focusing on lobbying for better access to Eduroam and other systems of digital inclusion, as well as the updating of current access to digital content.

With this in mind I also aim to help facilitate:

. Better access to mental health services including awareness of the services available.

. Tackling racism.

. Tackling gender based inequality.

. Lobbying for financial hardship support for students in need.

. Lobbying for better access and information for clubs and sports facilities.

. Lobbying for clear information for international students that require accommodation.
