Representation

The Students' Association is here to make sure that the voice of GCU students is heard throughout the University and in our wider community. You can read the Guide to Student Representation at GCU.

Each year, our students elect four Full Time Officers to work throughout the year to improve their student experience. Their work is guided by our main democratic committee, Student Voice, which votes on which Ideas should be implemented. Any GCU student can submit an Idea.

We also support the Class Reps, Departmental Reps, Postgraduate Taught (PGT) Reps, and Postgraduate Research (PGR) Reps, who make sure that students' concerns at every level of the University are heard and addressed. We also work closely with our Representation Officers to champion equality and diversity across campus.

We're also committed to promoting ethical and environmental strategies in partnership with the University.

Representation does not stop at the edge of campus. GCU Students' Association is a proud member of the National Union of Students, working with student unions across the UK to improve the conditions for all students.

We also work with a range of external organisations to ensure that GCU students have a voice in the wider community.
