My Manifesto

My mission is simple: put YOU first. This past year I’ve gained a vast understanding of the systems in place, and I know they can always be BETTER for diverse student groups. I’ve proven myself to be driven, collaborative, innovative, accountable, and always bringing a sense of fun to getting the job done.

Achievements

I’ve done individual and collaborative work with incredible teams to make tangible changes;

-   Securing free gym access for all students,

-   National Lobbying for student housing rights.

-   I’ve built relationships across other Scottish Student Unions and the government, leading to a potential amendment in a housing bill that could transform student accommodation rights. But there's more work to be done, and I’m ready to keep pushing for you.

-   Pushing for early retrieval for resits

As President, my top priorities are:

  1. Improving Learning Delivery Methods: I will advocate for more tailored course-based assessment options and a balance between online and physical lectures to accommodate other commitments.
  2. Student Housing Rights: I will leverage my relationships with other Student union officers and MSPs to further advocate for students’ housing rights making accommodation more accessible & affordable.
  3. Sports Development at GCU: I will continue pushing for a GCU sports strategy, better sports facilities and programs.
  4. Increased, visible, and personalized support for all students, focusing on those from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds.

My leadership style blends transformational and servant leadership. I believe in collective action, big-picture goals and continuous improvement while also prioritizing the needs of others, fostering inclusivity, and building strong, trusting relationships needed for change.

I commit to making every vote for me count toward transformative change for our diverse student community.
