Muhammad Bilal

I'm Bilal, - The Beacon, pursuing an MSc in Accounting and Finance at Glasgow Caledonian University. With experience in administration and financial management at both national and international levels, I have worked with organisations like UNICEF, UNFPA, and WFP, as well as alongside the Government of Pakistan and the United Nations. These roles have taught me how to navigate complex systems, advocate for fairness, and drive meaningful change.

As a student, I understand the challenges we all face—whether it’s academic pressure, financial concerns, or feeling unheard. My leadership experience has always been about creating real solutions, and that’s exactly what I want to bring to this role. I am running for FTO because I believe every student—regardless of background—deserves strong representation, better opportunities, and a system that works for them. With your support, I will ensure that your voice is heard, your concerns are addressed, and that together, we build a fairer, more inclusive student community.

As Student President, I will advocate for:

  • To enhance cross-cultural interactions, integrate local and international communities.
  • Improve Wi-Fi, introduce AI-based learning tools, and invest in cutting-edge technology.
  • To expand networking, internships, and employability workshops to ensure students.
  • Advocate for counselling services, stress-relieving activities, and socialising.
  • Development of a modern sports complex, including swimming and dance studios.
  • Scholarships to support students demonstrating outstanding academic achievements.
  • Work to increase the effectiveness of SA'AS to better support home students.
  • Advocate for more international trips.
  • Will work to unite universities by fostering collaboration through the spirit of sports.
  • Push for increased funding and resources for societies.
  • Advocate for funding to help transform innovative ideas into successful businesses.
  • Increasing parking spaces and introducing free parking options.
  • Promote gender equality, support women’s leadership development, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all women on campus.
