LUCKY

A LUCKY Future for GCU Students

As your Student President, I will ensure every student at Glasgow Caledonian University feels LUCKY, because we all deserve fair opportunities and a supportive environment.

  • Living Support – Advocate for reduced housing deposits at Caledonian Court and push for more budget-friendly accommodation choices to alleviate financial burdens on students.
  • Unity in Community – Make campus life more inclusive and vibrant by lobbying for free membership to all sport clubs and societies.
  • Counselling & Well-being – Enhance mental health support by pushing for recruitment of additional counsellors and extension of therapy session durations to better address students' wellbeing needs. I also intend to Champion healthier, cost-friendly food options in our campus canteens.
  • Knowledgeable Guidance & Accessibility – Strengthen academic guidance through peer-led mentorship programs, tutoring services, and career workshops to support students' educational and professional development. Provide tech support for mature students and lobby for a dedicated neurodivergent/autism-friendly study spaces.
  • Youthful Empowerment – Empower students' voices by implementing regular town halls, where the Student President and University leadership directly engage with the student body to better understand and address their concerns.

I bring experience from the Trustee Board of the Student Association, my role as Senate Student Representative, and as a Senate Disciplinary Committee member. I stand for accountability, integrity, and approachability, your voice will always be heard!

Let’s make GCU a LUCKY place for all! Vote for me!
