Hi everyone!

I am a Sustainability graduate and advocate, currently undertaking a Masters in UX Design at GCU.

During the last 5 years, we, the students, have faced incredibly challenging situations such as pandemic lockdowns, struggle to adapt to hybrid teaching, a general decline in mental health, and the abrupt rise of costs of living. However, these challenges didn’t stop us from making many positive contributions, like demonstrating to make institutions divest millions of pounds from fossil fuels and standing against the genocide in Gaza.

Empowered students can achieve great things to enhance their rights and contribute to society. Diversity is our main strength, and even if our dreams are different, we all have things in common: we want our opinions to matter, and we want to achieve our goals with a sense of purpose and the pathway as smooth as possible.

For this, a fair student representation that shares our common values is key. The Students’ Union plays an important role in the university's decision-making.

Your vote will allow me to be your Student President 2025-2026, and my commitment is to provide the best possible representation using my experience and expertise, focusing on:

  1. Enhance Climate Action on campus, creating and implementing a realistic plan to minimise the GCU carbon footprint towards achieving carbon neutrality. As climate change exacerbates, we must act using all available resources. GCU has great potential to lead impactful climate action.
  2. Implement a wider participation system through which students’ needs and ideas are heard and systematised, and effective responses tackling the problems are implemented.
  3. Bridge the gap between students and employers to increase the employability of GCU graduates by broadening agreements with the industry and providing further tools and guidance for students to ease the pathway to finding the job they want and deserve.

All students at Glasgow Caledonian University are automatically members of GCU Students' Association.
This membership is free for current GCU students.
