As being a class and department representative and Student Voice member all for years I’ve had many complaints about this. By the time we walk to the SU from Anne Lenox n make our pot noodles n come back it takes about 15mins n our pot noddles ice cold again

There is two microwaves in the student association and a hot water tap in the student association that to go to outside of opening hours you have to get your student id activated at the security office......whats that? you DO mind having to walk from the library all the way to the student association, a dark isolated almost empty building and back again most often while its raining? There is a kettle in the post graduate room, which undergrads cannot use. Its a joke.
I think it is because there is people selling food in the library, they cannot think "oh, what if the student actually can't afford this?" I think that there should be at least facilities around the buildings to make food. Most companies too, and I bet the staff rooms have kettles and microwaves. What if I have my own cup and coffee, will they charge me for boiling water? This was the case in other colleges and universities I have been in and I don't think it is right.
