It is an absolute hassle to check in through the QR code!
Firstly, how can the university assume every student owns a smartphone? Secondly, if someones phone dies while they are at uni, are they automatically absent? Are the lecturers responsible to check in students every day that have one issue or the other that may affect their absentee? It's absurd to just start a new way of checking students in without their input because they are the ones using it.
All students at Glasgow Caledonian University are automatically members of GCU Students' Association.

Think they should bring back the old system as there is no benefit of this other than the fact you can view your attendance
It won’t let you tap the calendar to let you scan the qr code, keeps kicking you out
This just makes everything harder when trying to get in class cause everyone just clogs up the entrance
Why fix something that wasn't broken? It's more time consuming to open the app and try to get an Internet signal to be able to verify that you are in that seminar or lecture.
