Plagiarism and Academic Integrity

Academic Integrity & Plagiarism Support

If you’ve been invited to a meeting regarding plagiarism or another academic irregularity — such as suspected ghostwriting or inappropriate use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) — our Student Advisers can offer confidential, practical, and empathetic support throughout the process.

How We Can Help

Our Student Advisers are independent from the University and provide a confidential, non-judgemental service. They can:

  • Explain the plagiarism and academic misconduct investigation process.
  • Offer guidance and representation during meetings or hearings.
  • Help you understand your rights and responsibilities under University policy.
  • Provide ongoing support and advice as your case progresses.

Contact a Student Adviser to get help and support.

Understanding Academic Integrity

It’s important to understand what constitutes plagiarism, ghostwriting, and inappropriate use of AI tools in your work. GCU provides detailed guidance on what these mean and how to avoid them.

Learn more on the GCU website about academic integrity, plagiarism, and appropriate use of AI.
