The GCU SA Freshers Guide - Medical

Tuesday 15-08-2017 - 00:00

Congratulations, you’re heading to GCU!

We here at GCU Students’ Association have put together a wee handy guide to help you get ready for September, which we'll be sharing with you over the summer.

Following on from last week's post we've our we'd like to remind you to get registered with a doctor and a dentist, and to think about an opticians for the next year.

If you’ve moved away from home to come to GCU then you will need to look at registering with a dentist and with a GP; to do this all you need to do is contact your local practices, who will let you know what forms you need to fill out and if they need to see any ID.

As eye exams are, typically, only required once every two years you may be happy staying with your opticians at home. If, however, you would like to register with a new opticians then you just need to drop in to the practice and a member of staff should be able to help you register. Remember that you can always go to the Vision Centre on campus.

Remember that you can always look at joining our Official GCU Freshers 2017 group on Facebook or you can have a look at our next post!
