Fiona Brambley, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

How did you first get involved?

I joined the Women's Basketball Team as a member and played for a year before becoming a Committee Member and then became a member of the Sports Council.

Why did you decide to get involved?

I wanted to make a difference for other people and love volunteering. I want new students to have the best experience at university like i did in my first year at uni.

What difference has it made to your university experience being involved?

My experience would be next to nothing if it weren't for the Students' Association. I have evolved so much as a person. I have also met so many new friends that I know I will keep forever and travelled too. Training or socials are always on the agenda.

What difference has being involved in this group made to your university experience?

I don't know what I would do without the basketball team, I have grown as a person and proud of the person I have become. Sports is an important part of my life and can't thank the Students' Association enough for giving me these opportunities.
