Opportunities Not Lost!

Opportunity, they say, is a chance given to achieve goals. A perfect example of what I have experienced is that, at GCU Students’ Association, there are various opportunities popping up for every students all of the time, which are great ways to progress within the institution. Experiencing over 16,000 students who volunteer or participate in one or more activities at GCU Students’ Association, I must say it is a great privilege to witness how dedicated we are in improving both the student experience and student satisfaction.

Taking into consideration the integration of workshops within the Student Leaders Programme; volunteering for student media groups (The EDIT and Radio Caley); diverse societies; sports clubs; Nightline; academic representation (Full Time Officers, School Officers, Class Reps, Postgraduate Reps, etc.), these volunteering opportunities have helped to develop leadership skills, effective communication, presentation skills, confidence and much more  qualities and skills that are highly valued and sought after by employers across the graduate market.

My advice, to all students, is that to focus on being the best you can be for either employability or generally within society, you must draw upon the best possible opportunities in life. Don’t miss out in the opportunities GCU Students’ Association provides you.

Stay positive.
