It has been wonderful representing students as delegate for both NUS UK conferences and NUS Scotland. This time I had opportunity as a delegate to attend the NUS Black Students’ conference at Edinburgh on 25 April 2018. This conference was a forum that brought all BAME students together to vote on policy to improve student experiences and discuss ways forward on working with various liberation groups.

I was nominated and elected by delegates from other Universities as a member of the NUS Scotland Black Women’s Sub-committee, this will help create more opportunity to liaise and work with executives and students of various liberation groups across Scotland and the United Kingdom to represent the voice of students including GCU.

Looking forward to representing both home, international and students of different liberation groups in the future.
