Trimester B is underway and the exam diet is behind us. So, it is the perfect time to provide GCU Students’ with a round up of the wins I have gained for students over the coure of my term.
On a personal note, I believe that it's challenging for the work and countless hours undertaken within the role of Full Time Officers to be fully articulated within a 2 minute report, twice per trimester.
So what have I done over the two years so far?
Here are some of the big projects I have achieved….
School of Engineering and Built Environment
At the start of the trimester, it was confirmed by the school (SEBE ) that students would be notified if a change to the class occurred at short notice. This is a piece of work that I have been working on since entering office in June 2016.
I. Campaigned to improve student comms within the SEBE – Students within the school are notified in the event of a change to their classes. Done !!!
II. Introduced the Student Led Programme Reviews - Capturing the student learning experience and feedback to the university on how to improve the experience. Done !!
III. Fought to secure the funding to upgrade some of the computers within the 24hr lab in order to support specialized software applications. Done !!!
